delicious summer smoothies I've used some tinned pineapples, peaches and banana along with a good swig of complimentary pineapple juice to create another refreshing concoction perfect for cooling you down on a blistering warm day. Its also great for vegans out there as well as those who are lactose intolerant, why should they miss out on all the smoothie action!
Not only that but this smoothie recipe shows how you can use tins and tubs of fruit to create delicious beverages. I've used a tin of pineapple rings (juice as well, don't let that flavor go to waste) and a handful of peach wedges which you can buy in tubs from your supermarket. They are already pre sliced, diced and prepared meaning there is less faff for you and your smoothie can be blitzed and ready to go in less than ten minutes! By all means though, free to prepare and use fresh pineapple and peaches if you wish.
As your packing your smoothie with lots of flavor from the fruit there is also no need to use expensive juices in your smoothie although the option is there for you if you can afford it. If your planning on making lots of smoothies or a large batch then supermarket own brand juices cost half as much as big brands and work just as well. Pineapple juice can be a bit hard to find on the fly so if you can't get hold of any then orange juice is a delicious and more accessible alternative to use instead for this recipe.
Like my other smoothie recipes this one is mega complicated so make sure you pay attention now folks;
Totally Tropical Smoothie
200ml Pineapple Juice
1 Chopped Whole Banana
10 Peach Slices
220g Tin Of Pineapple Rings (With Juice)
Place all the ingredients in a blender, food processor,whatever you use
to whiz up your smoothies in the order as written above and blend until
at the desired consistency.
Once again it couldn't be more simple than that but this time your smoothie will be packed with all those totally tropical flavors, is dairy free which is great and a lot more lighter due to the lack of yoghurt and the use of a juice instead. Make yourself a big batch, get in the sun and whisk yourself off to the Caribbean!
