SATAY BY THE BAY SINGAPORE (MATTYB RECOMMENDS)

On our second day in Singapore we spent most of the day taking in the sights of Gardens By The Bay, a spectacular garden and conservation hub right in the heart of the city centre. An incredible place in the centre of such a modern city calls for incredible food and so a trip to it's very own hawker centre, Satay By The Bay seemed like a no brainer. A more tourist friendly hawker centre compared to those you'll find in the city, would it's food be able to match the wonders of the attractions and scenery of the gardens?

TERRIFIC TURKISH EGGS

Now this dish was a bit of a revelation. Its popped up a few times recently in magazines, books and the internet as a new idea for serving eggs at breakfast time. It might seem a bit strange to be called Turkish eggs when it uses Greek yogurt but I don't really care. All I care about is knowing that yogurt, eggs, garlic, herbs and chili oil can all work together to create a brilliant breakfast (or lunch!) time dish that I'll be honest, I was hesitant to try but can now confirm is delicious. Who'd of thought it eh?

TAS PIDE LONDON (MATTYB RECOMMENDS)

I tell you what, I do love a mezze style dinner. When I was younger we would call it a "picnic tea". We'd place little bits of nibbly food around the table and just help ourselves to all the little treats on offer. When we walked past Tas Pide during our trip to London's Southwark area we were intrigued and when we checked the menu out and saw all the tasty sounding Turkish treats we knew we had to give them a try. We booked a table and off we trotted!
